Full Biography

Jiaman Jin is the Executive Director of the Beijing-based Global Environmental Institute (GEI) where she is responsible for the development, administration, design and management of all of GEI’s programs. She has worked for 22 years in environmental fields and prior to establishing GEI, she worked at the Chinese Research Academy of Environmental Sciences as the Director of the Technology Service Center, and then as the Vice Director of the Office of the Dean. Before that she served as a manager of UNEPnet Beijing Earth Station and from 1992 to 1996 the Secretary and then the Administrating Director of Leadership for Environment and Development China program. Madam Jin is one of the co-founders of the NGO Green Earth Volunteers and is also a member of the Executive Council of China Youth Development Foundation. She was selected to join the LEAD training program supported by Rockefeller Foundation and the Chinese Women Leader training program of Institute of International Education by Elisabeth Luce Moore Foundation. Madam Jin received her B.A. at the Staff College of Chinese Academy of Science, majoring in Equipment Management.
