Liz is a former intern with the Middle East Program. She graduated from Boston University with bachelor's degrees in Media Science and International Relations, with specializations in the Middle East and Anthropology. She previously worked for the Bureau of Education and Cultural Affairs (ECA) at the State Department, as a programming assistant for the Boston University Office of Global Programs, and as a youth outreach staffer for her local county government. She will be going to the Philippines in January to serve with the Peace Corp's education sector, specifically by assisting with middle school and high school English and literacy instruction and by supporting extracurricular initiatives.
Getting to pursue my own research was an amazing and rewarding experience. Additionally, I was able to broaden my knowledge of areas I was unfamiliar with, like innovation and entrepreneurship in the region.
