Full Biography

Sarah Hubbard is a Principal in the Lansing (MI) based government relations consulting firm Acuitas.  She formerly served as the Senior Vice President of Government Relations at the Detroit Regional Chamber on behalf of over 20,000 member businesses. Throughout her career, Ms. Hubbard has reached across the corporate and public interest sectors to build broad-based coalitions to pursue policy goals.   Sarah’s primary areas of expertise include: U.S. / Canada policy issues, Michigan Tax Policy, Communications, Social Media and Grassroots Strategy, and General Business Issues. Prior to the Chamber, Ms. Hubbard spent 3 years as a Legislative Assistant in the Michigan House of Representatives and worked on campaigns for political office. Ms. Hubbard received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan, Master of Public Administration from Western Michigan University and her Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business. Ms. Hubbard formerly served on the board of directors of the Public Affairs Council and the American Chamber of Commerce Executives.  She currently serves on the advisory board of the Woodrow Wilson Centers’ Canada Institute and the Michigan State University Canadian Studies Center.
