Full Biography

Born and raised in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, Stephany came to the U.S. to study abroad and has recently graduated from Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, TN. She received a B.S in Social Justice with a dual-minor in Social Work and Non-Profit Management. 

Prior to joining the LAP internship, Stephany served as a public policy intern at the Association for a More Just Society in Honduras. During her senior year of college, she was elected as the Student Body Vice-President for the Student Government Association at her university. In 2016, Stephany served as a translator in Monterrey, Mexico, where she also assisted in projects that provided holistic care to orphan children. 

In addition to this internship, she is also supporting the mission of the Organization of American States (OAS) by working in the area of the Secretariat of Multidimensional Security (SMS). During her free time, she serves as the committee member of Legal Affairs at ESPACIOH, a think tank driven to promote democratic governance and social equity in Honduras.''
