Dado o papel crítico da Amazônia na limitação do aquecimento global a 1,5 graus centígrados, o Wilson Center Brazil Institute lançou o Diálogo Brasil-EUA sobre Sustentabilidade e Mudanças Climáticas em parceria com o Uma Concertação Pela Amazônia.

O Relatório Final das quatro sessões do Diálogo produziu uma série de recomendações políticas para combater o desmatamento e gerar modos sustentáveis de emprego e produção na Amazônia brasileira nas áreas de: (1) Redução das emissões de carbono, (2) Financiamento da proteção das florestas tropicais; (3) Agricultura sustentável; (4) Parcerias indígenas.
