Bahar Sabzevari Investigates Contradictions in Iranian Society through Art
Throughout her life, Bahar Sabzevari has utilized various forms of art to explore contradictions in Iranian society, especially with respect to women’s rights after the 1979 Revolution. Most recently, she started to experiment with themes and symbolism related to fact vs. fiction, climate change, and government accountability.
In this discussion, Bahar also reflected on the more than two months of demonstrations across Iran, as well as plethora of artworks being produced around the world in support of protestors.
