The Brazilian General Personal Data Protection Law (LGPD), inspired by the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), is considered by Brazilian digital activists as an advance in data protection in Brazil. In this video, we go over some of the benefits and risks of this law. Finally, we go over the new regulatory agency created to oversee data protection compliance: the National Data Protection Authority (ANPD) and their strategic goals for the next few years.
