On October 31, 2017, Africa Program Director Monde Muyangwa presented at the Emerging Security Sector Leaders Seminar hosted by the Africa Center for Strategic Studies. This seminar convened over 50 mid-level security professionals from over 40 African countries. Dr. Muyangwa addressed key governance challenges facing Africa over the next ten years at the session “Africa’s Security Challenges: Looking Ahead.” She discussed the role of domestic and international stakeholders to manage these challenges and examined successful approaches to improving governance in Africa.
