Security Challenges in Europe in 2015

The program will take a broad view of European security challenges in 2015. Particular emphasis will be placed on the priorities of the Swiss Chairmanship of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) – particularly in Ukraine – and what remains to be done following the transition to Serbian Chairmanship.

Security Challenges in Europe in 2015

The program will take a broad view of European security challenges in 2015. Particular emphasis will be placed on the priorities of the Swiss Chairmanship of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) – particularly in Ukraine – and what remains to be done following the transition to Serbian Chairmanship. Distinguished speakers will also address Switzerland’s role in international diplomacy in historical perspective. This event serves as the official launch of the Global Europe Program’s Swiss Fellowship Program, in partnership with the Europa Institute at the University of Zurich.

The Global Europe Program addresses vital issues affecting the European continent, U.S.-European relations, and Europe’s ties with the rest of the world. It does this through scholars-in-residence, seminars, policy study groups, media commentary, international conferences and publications.
