Dr. Tedros Adhanom presented his remarks upon U.S.-Ethiopian Health Partnerships; Recent Health Innovations; and the Health-Related Impacts of the Food, Fuel, and Finance Crises.

Dr. Adhanom reflected on the legacy of U.S.-Ethiopian partnerships in health, particularly under PEPFAR, and Ethiopia's recent major health policy innovations. He also spoke about Ethiopia's looming health challenges in the face of rising food and fuel costs, and the current global financial crisis.
