Expert Bio
Rockwell served as the Director of the Information and External Relations Division and the Chief Spokesman at the World Trade Organization from 1996-2022. He had overall responsibility for the WTO’s interaction with media, business, civil society and parliamentarians. Prior to joining the WTO, Rockwell worked for 16 years at the Journal of Commerce working as a reporter, editor and columnist. His last two jobs were as European Bureau Chief based in London and as the chief of the Washington bureau. He obtained his BA from Tufts University in 1980 and his Masters in Business Administration from George Washington University in 1991.
