Phil Tiemeyer

Phil Tiemeyer is Associate Professor at Kansas State University. He is currently researching global airlines founded after World War II to reveal the ways in which both airlines and flight attendants served “ambassadorial” roles in the Cold War. His book project, Aerial Ambassadors: Global Airlines and US Power in the Jet Age attempts to contribute to the fields of diplomatic history and gender and sexuality history.
