105th American Assembly: Renewing the U.S.-Canada Relationship

The 105th American Assembly gathered in February 2005 for a discussion on "Renewing the U.S.-Canada Relationship." This event was co-sponsored by the Wilson Center's Canada Institute, the Canadian Institute for International Affairs, and The American Assembly of Columbia University. Seventy men and women from Canada and the United States attended the conference, including government officials, representatives from business, law, labor, nonprofit organizations, and academia. The paper below represents the conclusions these participants drew from the conference, and includes a list of their major findings.
