Kennan Institute Congressional Relations

The Kennan Institute, Washington's premier institution for post-Soviet studies, sits at the intersection of rigorous scholarship and American foreign policy. Through a variety of policymaker outreach programs, the Institute fosters a more in-depth, collaborative, and diverse dialogue on Russia, Ukraine, and the post-Soviet region among experts and policymakers.

Our programs and outreach include the Kennan Institute Salon Dinner Series, which connects policymakers, media figures, and think tankers to Institute experts and guests; Kennan Institute Congressional Lunch Briefings for congressional staff and interns; Russia-focused master classes in collaboration with the Wilson Center's Congressional Relations office, which bring together senior level hill aides for a one day intensive course on Russia; and meetings and briefings with executive branch officials and Members of Congress and their staffs.
