Benedict Baxendale-Smith is a PhD Student in Defence Studies at King’s College London. His research focuses on the Indo-Pacific Strategies of the UK and Australia in support of US regional hegemony. His research interests include US & UK Grand Strategies, Indo-Pacific Security, and the Liberal International Order.
Prior to his PhD, Benedict graduated from Durham University with a Master of Arts in International Relations with Distinction. For his MA thesis, Benedict researched the Trump Administration's NATO policy, focusing on the burden sharing debate.
