The South American country of Brazil in the coming years will have the world focused on it, as it hosts the World Cup 2014 and the Olympic Games in 2016. In addition to those two global sporting events, Brazil is an emerging country whose economy is one of the world’s faster growing. “Emerging Brazil: Now comes the Hardest Part” is the title of the presentation given by Paulo Sotero, Director of the Brazil Institute at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, to members and guests of the World Affairs Council of San Antonio. He spoke on February 23, 2012 at the Double Tree Hotel. Introducing Mr. Sotero is Nancy Shivers, Vice President of Programs for the World Affairs Council of San Antonio.
