Wilson Special Focus: 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence
In this edition of Wilson Center NOW we are joined by Anya Prusa, Slater Family Fellow and a Senior Associate at the Brazil Institute. She discusses a series of events, publications, and podcasts the Wilson Center is hosting on Gender-Based Violence (GBV) worldwide. These events parallel the United Nations’ 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence, an annual international campaign that kicks off on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, and runs until 10 December, Human Rights Day.

Polar Institute
Since its inception in 2017, the Polar Institute has become a premier forum for discussion and policy analysis of Arctic and Antarctic issues, and is known in Washington, DC and elsewhere as the Arctic Public Square. The Institute holistically studies the central policy issues facing these regions—with an emphasis on Arctic governance, climate change, economic development, scientific research, security, and Indigenous communities—and communicates trusted analysis to policymakers and other stakeholders.
