The Wilson Center’s report, The Mosaic Approach, identified  the geographic concentration of critical minerals as a significant challenge to both the supply chain, and to US geopolitical and climate ambitions. The following maps illustrate the geographic concentration of reserves and processing for five critical minerals: cobalt, copper, lithium, nickel, and rare earth elements.
