The Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars is saddened to learn of the passing of Don Lorenzo Servitje, founder of Grupo Bimbo and a noted philanthropist. Don Lorenzo was the 2004 recipient of the Woodrow Wilson Award for Corporate Citizenship, presented on June 10, 2004. He was the first Mexican to receive the prestigious award.
Don Lorenzo passed away Friday, February 3, 2017 at the age of 98. The Mexico Institute expresses our deepest sympathy with his family, they are in our thoughts.
