Mexico Institute's Board Member Mr. Raúl Rodríguez Barocio Receives the Ohtli Award

The Mexico Institute would like to congratulate our Board Member Mr. Raúl Rodríguez Barocio, who was recently commemorated with the Ohtli Award.  The Ohtli Award is one of the most important recognitions given by the Mexican Government to Latino leaders for promoting civic engagement, arts, and bilateral U.S. - Mexico relations.

Throughout his professional and personal life, Mr. Rodríguez has been an exemplary leader in the creation of closer ties between Mexico and the United States. Mr. Rodríguez has served as CEO of the North American Development Bank; Executive Director at the Mexican Foreign Trade Bank; Trade Commissioner of Mexico in Canada; Secretary for Economic Development of the border state of Tamaulipas, Mexico; partner and chairman of two marketing and business consulting firms in Mexico; and Professor of Engineering at Monterrey Tech.  He has also served as Founding Chairman of the North American Center at Arizona State University and currently serves as the Chair of the Board of the U.S.-Mexico Foundation and as the Tom Benson Chair in Banking and Finance.

The Mexico Institute celebrates this recognition of Mr. Rodriguez’s dedication, passion, and perseverance towards improving the level of collaboration between the two countries.
