Project #LavaJota Sheds Light on Lava Jato through Big Data

Launched in the second half of 2014, Jota is a website dedicated to "producing information and analysis to increase institutional transparency and judicial security in Brazil and, thereby, contributing to the development of the social, political, and economic landscape of the country." In partnership with Transparency International, Digesto and Microsoft Power BI, Jota has recently launched #LavaJota, a data bank of information regarding Brazil's Lava Jato corruption investigation. The dynamic website provides access to searchable resources detailing the various processes of the investigation, individuals involved, videos of plea-bargain testimonies, and data-visualization graphics. It provides a comprehensive overview of the operation as it has progressed since its beginning in 2014 until the present day.
