IARPC Public Webinar Series: MOSAiC Month
The Polar Institute is pleased to support a number of events focused on the MOSAiC Expedition and hosted by IARPC Collaborations during the month of October.
Overview
The Multidisciplinary drifting Observatory for the Study of Arctic Climate (MOSAiC) expedition is the first year-round expedition into the central Arctic exploring the Arctic climate system. Since September 2019, German icebreaker Polarstern has been locked in ice and drifted through the Arctic Ocean. Hundreds of researchers from 20 countries joined the expedition to gain fundamental insights to global climate change. In October, IARPC Collaborations is featuring several events focused on the MOSAiC expedition.
IARPC Collaborations is a web platform provided by the Interagency Arctic Research Policy Committee that brings together scientists from federal, state, academic, Indigenous, nonprofit, industry, and international organizations and communities to work on pressing Arctic research issues. The website is free and open to anyone who can contribute, regardless of their role in Arctic research.
