Transitioning From Conflict to Peace: India/Pakistan compared with Morocco/Polisario & Ethiopia/Eritrea

The forum will examine territorial disputes and the process of de-escalation as a tool for conflict resolution. Speakers will address recent steps taken by India and Pakistan to resume dialogue on all issues, including Kashmir; the current ceasefire and pending referendum in the dispute between Morocco and the Polisario Front; and Ethiopia/Eritrea. What approaches have been used to address these territorial disputes, and what lessons can be applied to other countries in conflict?
