This workshop focused on barriers to doing business in developing countries, with the base for the discussion being the recent World Bank report "Doing Business 2006".

The workshop began with an overview of the "Doing Business" report by its lead author, Simeon Djankov (World Bank). Scott Miller (Proctor and Gamble) followed up with a discussion on the business perspective of these barriers to commerce, and Mary Ryckman (USTR) discussed Doha Round implications for these business obstacles.
