Andrés-Mauricio Velasco

Andrés-Mauricio Velasco is Technical Deputy Minister of Finance and Public Credit, Colombia. Previously, he was Macroeconomic Policy Director at the Ministry of Finance (2014–2017), Expert Economist of the Research Unit (2011–2014) at the Central Bank of Colombia, and Inflation Staff Member (2003–2007) at the same bank. Velasco has taught macroeconomic theory and policy at Javeriana, Rosario, Andes, Sabana Universities, Bogotá, and at University of Oxford. He is a DPhil candidate in Economics at the University of Oxford, where he also earned an MPhil in 2009.
