Latin American Program Communications Intern
Andrés Villar is from San José, Costa Rica, and a senior at The American University. He is majoring in International Affairs with a concentration in Peace, Global Security & Conflict Resolution and a regional focus in Latin America. He has previously interned with the Costa Rican Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where he worked with a delegation of the Organization of American States (OAS) to develop a project for the reception and social inclusion of the increasing influx of Nicaraguan migrants and refugees. His interests include forced displacement and democratic governance in Latin America. In the future, Andrés aspires to get an M.A. in Peace & Conflict Resolution.
