Brenda Soya

Brenda Soya has a passion for Africa and has lived, worked, or breathed the continent for over 18 years starting as a volunteer in Eswatini moving to Ethiopia and then began a magical diplomatic life serving in Sierra Leone, the Vatican, Togo, and Burkina Faso.  She arrived in Paris to direct the Africa Regional Services office, a 60-year old branch of the Department of State's Africa Bureau supporting public outreach on the continent after teaching international relations at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs CO.  She has a MA in security studies from the Naval War College and has a BA in Communication summa cum laude from the University of Colorado.  Her #YALI4Ag moment happened when she was 13years old and showed a sheep in the county fair as a 4-H member.  #Agricultureiscool #InternationalYouthDay
