Alejo Czerwonko, Ph.D., is the director for emerging markets strategy at UBS. His primary focus is the macroeconomics of emerging markets, sovereign credit, and asset allocation. Alejo is frequently quoted in the Financial Times, Bloomberg, Reuters, and The Wall Street Journal. He earned a Ph.D. in economics from Columbia University, and holds degrees in economics and finance from Tilburg University and Universidad del CEMA. He has taught at Columbia Business School, Columbia College, and Universidad del CEMA.
