Full Biography

Don Campbell is the general manager of Policy for Government and Public Affairs (PGPA) for Upstream and Corporate Business Development at Chevron. In this functional leadership role, Campbell manages PGPA teams supporting Chevron’s $150-billion oil and gas business in more than 20 countries around the globe. He is the lead PGPA advisor to Jay Johnson, Sr. Vice President of Upstream. Don is a member of the Global PGPA Leadership Team, and a member of the company’s Enterprise Governance Board.

Prior to assuming his current position in January 2013, Campbell served for almost three years as the Global Manager of PGPA for Downstream and Chemicals, as well as the head of PGPA for Technology and Services. Previously, he served for five years on the Corporate PGPA team as manager of external communications and manager of media relations. Prior to Chevron, he worked for two years with Husky Energy Inc. in Calgary, as head of media relations, government relations, and investor relations; and for three years as vice president of communications for the Calgary Health Region. Before starting a career in public relations, he worked for 15 years as a newspaper journalist in Canada covering business, energy and politics. During his newspaper career, he also served as the city editor of the Calgary Herald newspaper.

Campbell received his bachelor's in history and literature from Dalhousie University and his bachelor's in journalism from the University of King's College.
