Captain Ed Page established the non-profit Marine Exchange of Alaska in April 2001 after serving 30 years in the U.S. Coast Guard. During his 50+ years in the maritime field he has responded to numerous oil spills and marine casualties and sailed on a wide range of Coast Guard and commercial vessels.
His focus on preventing marine casualties has led to his developing one of the world’s largest vessel compliance monitoring and response systems encompassing over 1.5 million square miles. Having accumulated 30 years in Alaska he as developed a profound knowledge of the unique challenges of ensuring safe, efficient and environmentally responsible maritime operations in Arctic waters.
