Russian Nationalism and the Nationalities Question in the Russian Empire, 1907-1911

Project Summary

Focuses on the Stolypin period (1907-1911) and the tsarist government’s efforts to resolve the nationality question. Deals with nationality policy as a whole, and assesses the role of Russian nationalism in shaping the government’s economic, cultural, educational and demographic policies toward non-Russian peoples.
