Full Biography

His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani is the Prime Minister of the State of Qatar since March 7th, 2023, while concurrently holding the position of Minister of Foreign Affairs since January 27, 2016. As Prime Minister, his main responsibilities include advising the Amir of Qatar on ministry formation, assisting the Amir in his duties, and leading Council of Ministers sessions to ensure coordination among ministries. In his role as Minister of Foreign Affairs, he focuses on enhancing Qatar's global relations, promoting peace, and overseeing Qatari mediation efforts in regional crises. His Excellency is also the Chairman of the Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) and a member of the Supreme Council for Economic Affairs and Investment. With a background in Economics and Business Administration, he has contributed to economic diversification, supported small and medium-sized enterprises, and played a key role in various economic projects. Throughout his career, he has held several positions, including Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Qatar Investment Authority. His academic qualifications include a Bachelor's degree from Qatar University in 2003.
