Project Summary

Examines Tatar heritage in Russian history. Reviews the Tatars’ imprint on Russia, noting their physical presence in Russia in the concept of their heritage. Reviews the important Tatar influence on Muscovite Russia. Consequently, deals with different aspects of Tatar-Russian symbiosis, various Tatar groups and their contacts with the Russians. Scrutinizes the layers and forms of the astonishingly late Tatar impact on Muscovy. Pomotes a better understanding of Russian history.
