    Full Biography

    Jason Lewis-Berry is a Lead Foreign Affairs Officer in the State Department's Bureau of Conflict and Stabilization Operations. With the State Department he has served as Field Representative for Lord’s Resistance Army Issues, Chief of Staff of the Kandahar Provincial Reconstruction Team, led conflict prevention and stabilization missions in Mexico, Bangladesh, and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), led interagency strategic planning in response to the Russia-Georgia conflict, and worked on public affairs in Morocco. Before joining the State Department, Mr. Lewis-Berry worked for an NGO in the DRC and Uganda, and as a policy consultant in Washington DC. Prior to foreign affairs, he worked as a journalist and film-maker in California and Oregon. Mr. Lewis-Berry holds a Master’s in Foreign Service from Georgetown University and a BA in journalism from the University of Oregon. He speaks French.
