Full Biography

José González Campo is the President of Guatemala’s Chamber of Construction companies and since April 2016, serves as President of Guatemala’s Coordinating Committee of Agricultural, Commercial, Industrial and Financial Associations (CACIF), the main organization that represents the business community in Guatemala. He is also Executive Director of PreCon, a construction company dedicated to operations of prefabricated concrete, steel commercialization and construction projects in general. González Campo has extensive experience in participating in different construction associations. He has served on the Board of Directors of CACIF since 2014 where he has coordinated the Private sector’s Labor Commission and has also participated in the Political Commission since 2011. Mr. González Campo also served as President of the Association of Guatemala’s Construction Contractors from 2010 to 2012, Vice-President of Guatemala’s Construction Chamber from 2014 to 2016, and was elected President of the Chamber’s 2016 to 2018. He studied Industrial Chemical Engineering at Rafael Landivar University in Guatemala and holds an MBA from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile.
