Project Summary

This analysis of the Russian psychiatric profession on the eve of the revolutions of 1917 focuses upon the strategies adopted by Russia psychiatrists in their effort to gain control over the asylum and societal recognition of their superior judgment in all matters pertaining to the diagnosis and treatment of insanity.
