Soviet Policy Toward Korea, 1945-1953

Project Summary

Looks at Soviet policy toward Korea during 1945-1953, particularly in regard to the role that postwar Soviet policy played in shaping the Cold War because American perceptions of the Soviet role in the outbreak of the Korean War in 1950 sharply escalated the USSR/US conflict and influenced American policymaking for many years.
