Full Biography

Keiji Inoue is senior economic affairs officer and deputy chief of the International Trade and Integration Division at the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) in Santiago, Chile. Prior to these positions, he was the macroeconomic analyst for the region in the Development Policy and Analysis Division at DESA, UN headquarters in New York. He was also coordinator of the Secretary General’s Millennium Development Goals Task Force, analyzing and monitoring MDG 8. Inoue began his career at the United Nations in 1995 as a fiscal policy expert in the Economic Development Division at ECLAC. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Tufts University and a Master’s degree in International Trade and Development from Sophia University, Japan.
