Kelly McFarland

Dr. Kelly M. McFarland is a US diplomatic historian and Director of Programs and Research at the Institute for the Study of Diplomacy. He leads ISD’s policy and research agenda, including a series of scholar-practitioner working groups that explore emerging global policy challenges, and the Institute’s online Case Studies Library. He teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses at Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service. Dr. McFarland served in the Department of State and the intelligence community prior to joining ISD.
