Project Summary

A content-analysis of public opinion of openly discussed topics within the Soviet Union, pointing out the limits of criticism as well as the degree of response to critiques. Defines structural trends in political communication and control (from below), the development of legal bases, of institutions and the theory of public opinion within the Soviet Union.
