Expert Bio

Miguel Braun is Secretary of Commerce of Argentina. Prior to this position, he was executive director of the Pensar Foundation and co-founder and executive director of Center for the Implementation of Public Policies Promoting Equity and Growth (CIPPEC). He was also a board member of Banco Ciudad. In addition to having taught public finance, macroeconomics, and political economy at the Universities of Buenos Aires, San Andrés, and Torcuato Di Tella, Braun co-authored the textbook Argentine Macroeconomics. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the Universidad de San Andrés, as well as a Master’s and Ph.D. in Economics from Harvard University.
