"The Greening of America and the Graying of Environmental Law: Reflections on Environmental Law's First Three Decades in the United States"
Project Summary
This project would involve the preparation of a manuscript for publication as a book that analyzes modern environmental law's emergence in the United States, its subsequent, often tumultuous evolution during the past three decades, and the manner and significance of its "graying" as it becomes a more settled area of the law. The proposed manuscript would describe the special challenges presented by lawmaking for environmental protection, relate those challenges to actual events of the past three decades, and discuss what lessons can be gleaned from those events in better meeting those same challenges today and in the future.
