"The U.S. Federal and State Relationship in International Affairs: Lessons for Ukraine"
Project Summary
The objective is to explore and analyze the rationale, factors, mechanisms and significance of the relationship between the national and sub-national levels of government in the field of international affairs by examining the case of the United States of America with an emphasis on how this could affect the US federal arrangment and influence the US foreign policy overall. Particular emphasis will be put on indentifying whether the relationship between the federal government and US states is competetive in nature.
