    Full Biography

    Stein Lundby specializes in creating new strategic competencies that address corporate-level challenges.

    For the past eight years, Stein led Qualcomm's Corporate Technology Strategy function to advise Qualcomm's executives, identify disruptive technology shifts, develop strategy & business cases, and work with GMs to drive implementation.

    Stein's current focus is on growing Qualcomm's IoT business to drive digital transformation globally.

    During his career, he held a variety of roles across the lifecycle of a technology-driven business.  His legacy includes launching and leading several new corporate strategic initiatives: in advanced research, engineering, international standardization, new $B/year business creation, corporate legal strategy (intellectual property, litigation, licensing), corporate development (venture, M&A, etc.), and technology geo-politics.  He has trained & led strategy teams, hybrid legal teams, R&D teams, research labs, and have also acted as an individual advisor.

    Stein has worked at Qualcomm since 1997, holds over 100 patented inventions in mobile and wireless technologies, and is one of Qualcomm's leading technologists and inventors.

    He holds several accreditations in strategy from Harvard Business School, a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from Duke University, an advanced degree in Wireless Technology from Eurécom, a Masters Degree in Communication Systems from EPFL, and a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Sciences from EPFL.

    Stein is the author of the upcoming book "Technology Strategy: How to use technology to create value."
