Publicity and Policy in the Implementation of CPSU Central Committee Resolutions

Project Summary

Identifies the relationship between media publicity and policy implementation in the cases of two major Central Committee resolutions of 1979: the need for improved ideological education and the reform of econmic administration and planning. Locates the local, bureaycratic and fractional interests in these cases by examining their articulation in the publicity associated with these directives.
