Full Biography

Vladimir I. Mukomel is the Chief Researcher, Head of the Center for the Study of Interethnic Relations, Institute of Sociology of Russian Academy of Science, Moscow, Russia.  He is also the Director of the Center for Ethnopolitical and Regional Studies (NGO). He holds a Doctor of Science (Sociology, Institute of Sociology, RAS), Ph.D. (Demography, Moscow State University), M.D. (Economy, Moscow State University), and B.D. (Computer Aided Disign, Moscow Physics Technical Institute). From 1994-1999, Dr. Mukomel was an employee of Administration of the President of Russia, acting as Head Analyst of the Analytical Center of the President of the Russian Federation, the Adviser of Security Council. Dr. Mukomel's sphere of research interests include migration studies, national minorities, and ethnodemography. He is the author more than 200 scientific publications, and author and editor of 19 books. His works are published in the USA, the Great Britain, Germany, France, India, Hungary, Czech and other countries. He constantly acts with comments on the current problems in the Russian and foreign mass-media.
