China Cracks Down on Foreign Funded NGOs

August 2009- Chinese NGOs that rely on financial aids from overseas are being targeted by the government.

A news report titled China snares NGOs with foreign funding by the Christian Science Monitor reveals a major wave of crackdown on foreign funded Chinese NGOs, most of which are involved in civil rights work in China, as the 60th anniversary of the state is approaching.
