Latin American Program Director Cynthia J. Arnson was interviewed by Voz de América on its program Foro Interamericano, which is a debate segment that discusses issues of social, political, and economic interest. Arnson was interviewed about the presidential election in Colombia, which took place on Sunday, May 25, 2014 and resulted in the need for a runoff election, which will happen on June 15, 2014. Arnson spoke about the advantages and disadvantages that a presidential candidate has, as well as about the advantages that a president seeking reelection has over his opponents.
