Monde Muyangwa at the Tana High-Level Forum on Security in Africa

On April 21-24, 2017, Dr. Monde Muyangwa, Director of the Wilson Center Africa Program, participated in the Tana High-Level Forum on Security in Africa in Bahir Dar, Ethiopia.

On April 21-24, 2017, Dr. Monde Muyangwa, Director of the Wilson Center Africa Program, participated in the Tana High-Level Forum on Security in Africa in Bahir Dar, Ethiopia. In addition to eight current and former heads of state and government, the forum brought together nearly 250 African leaders, decision-makers, stakeholders, and citizens to discuss security issues under the theme “Natural Resource Governance in Africa.”

Key speakers included H.E. Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, President of the Republic of Liberia; H.E. Moussa Faki Mahamat, Chairperson of the African Union Commission; H.E. Hailemariam Desalegn, Prime Minister of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia; and H.E. Mr. Olusegun Obasanjo, Former President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
