NBR and the Wilson Center will host the Research Associates and Fellows at a major conference on contemporary Asian Studies on June 17-18, 2010 in Washington, D.C. The purpose is to highlight those scholars whose commitment and expertise have made exceptional contributions to America's understanding of the vast changes underway in the region. At this and all subsequent conferences, NBR and the Wilson Center will award one outstanding scholar with a significant prize named after renowned Asia scholar Robert Scalapino, arguably America's foremost scholar of Asia over the past 60 years.
